Riverside Red '63 split window

My personal '63 SWC at Tom Ames' shop in Texas

We lifted the body off the chassis

Yes, it is a "Fuelie"...but no, the F.I. unit isn't on it right now.  It's being rebuilt by John DeGregory currently.

SoCal NCRS judging event - L.A. roadtrip...

Fill-up in King City

San Luis Obispo lunch stop

Window came off the track in SLO town...

Found an auto parts store that sold the window removal tool!

Back on the road along the coast...

Stopped in Westlake Village to visit Tom & Kathryn - original owners of the '64 (aka "run run")

First morning @ the hotel in L.A. - on route 66

Cars rolling into place for NCRS judging (and Riley in 'da house)

A beautiful '67 - that received Top Flight.

And a sweet '63 Fuelie.  Jerry judged "Interior" and I judged "Chassis"

Leaving L.A. - we had a shock come loose.  A "minor" delay!

Late night driving back to San Jose
We stopped @ Harris Ranch for a couple steaks...at 10:45pm!

New shocks & new pinion seal...

The '64 and the '62 K10 4x4

New shocks front and rear

Pinion nut - marked and ready for removal

Even with 90 psi...the pinion nut wouldn't come off.  Arghhh

The old pinion seal

Don't ask.  Had to finally take it into a rear-end shop. 200+ psi air gun, got the pinion nut off and the new pinion seal installed!  NO MORE LEAK!!

The '63 is off to Texas for new paint

Got a cool Harry Mann Chevrolet window decal from Rick.  Very cool!

Finishing touches on the '64...

My '63 Fuelie headed off to Texas.  Paint time!

I know, I know.  The F.I. unit is being rebuilt right now.
We threw on a temporary intake manifold and Edelbrock carb.  It runs!
