1964 Daytona Blue Coupe

Purchased a 2-owner/1-family owned '64 Coupe

The paint is pretty rough!

But hey, it's Daytona Blue!  Can't beat that.

The engine compartment was grimy and crusty.
To be expected w/a 54 year old car!

I had the underside steam-cleaned prior to pulling the motor (makes for a cleaner job)!

Jerry & I prepared the '64 for the engine pull.  I always love these days!

Ready for lift-off!

Jerry guiding and Chase raising "Big Red"

The 327/300 hp motor is out!

Fun day!  Wayne 'n Chase

My parents stopped over later that day.  Mom said: "Where did the engine go?"

Radiator expansion tank.
Looks like it had some old repairs done.  I think I'll be replacing that!  ; )

"Cinni" - the dog has been watching on (with her foot injury)...

This is an original Harry Mann Chevrolet car from Los Angeles.
Sticker on the glovebox door.

I have the original Protection Plan booklet w/the original owner (Tom C.'s) info inside.

I've gotta keep that rear hitch and those original California black license plates

Jerry pressure washing the engine compartment in my driveway.
I was cleaning the intake manifold and carburetor.

Jerry sanding the engine bay

We found this Job # ("337") written in grease pencil on the passenger side firewall.

Time for a new clutch and have the flywheel turned

We had a few oil & coolant leaks, so all new gaskets are in order!

The fenders had a lot of holes from over the years.
The overflow tank had been relocated to the drivers-side.  We're getting it back to original...so we filled the holes w/a little bondo and some minor sanding.

The blue '64, next to the '63 Fuelie

The front emblem needed replacing.  A little prep work and...

Ta Da!
