62 Chevy K10 - ignition switch replacement

Picked up a replacement ignition switch from LMC, to replace the faulty one.

You just need to stick a paperclip into that top hole *after* you turn the key left to ACC.

While pressing down on that paperclip, continue to turn left (past ACC position).  That'll free the lock cylinder.

Lock cylinder out, new ignition switch below.  You can see the pin that was being depressed.

Done deal.  One interesting note: the two new keys from LMC work great.  But so does my old key??  Oh, and the 2 new keys work great on my door lock too.  Total coincidence?  Doubt it.  : ))
